We got up and to breakfast earlyish as we had decided to go into
Skiathos Town by public transport and weren't sure how long it might take us.
We walked down the slightly hazardous path to the end of Koukounaries Beach. This beach has been voted the best in Greece and the 7th best in the world - yeah, perhaps, but other surveys may suggest otherwise.
Everywhere was very quiet and we had a lovely walk along to the far end where the water taxi leaves from. Everything was much quicker than we expected and the first taxi wasn't for another hour so we decided to try the local bus. Some English people also getting on at our stop advised us what to do; we handed over our €3 each and we were on our way along twisty and hilly roads.
Oh, look, a load of sunbeds have appeared where they never were before
